A Rhythmic Dance of Nature
Photography by Helen MacGregor.
Les Bananiers is a series of abstract botanical images, depicting photographic close-ups of the leaves of the Abyssinian Banana tree, backlit by natural sunlight and highlighting the unique colors of this exotic Banana plant species.
The images are printed in the Giclee process on canvas to give them a painterly look and to provide a gallery finish that renders a look of fine art to their display. They are mounted on wood stretchers, ready to hang on the wall.
The images are presented here with the artist’s suggestion that they be mounted on the wall as a ‘diptych’ set: two identical framed images, hung separately, side by side, and usually with one of them rotated in reverse orientation to its partner.

Bananiers #1
The idea that inspired this double-image configuration was conceived when the artist experimented with their layout, and discovered a dynamic movement of energies that this layout visually evokes, creating an effect that resembles a fluid ‘Dance of Nature’.
The aesthetic of this double configuration is, however, only a suggestion that the artist presents, with ideas for interior design themes in mind, and which has received a warm reception in the artist’s design installations for home and business projects.
There remains the option to purchase the single image on its own, for wall mounting in whichever orientation is desired.
